Miracles of Recovery: In Public and Behind Closed Doors [Luminous Mysteries]
The healing miracles of our addiction recovery have a ripple effect on our loved ones and community as they bear witness to our new life.
For many of us, recovery from addiction is nothing short of a true miracle.
Addiction takes the lives of too many too soon, too young, with so much left to bring into the world.
Those of us who have struggled with addiction, teetering on the brink of ruin and death, know firsthand the blessing that sobriety and recovery can offer.
The Luminous Mysteries explore the events of Jesus’s public ministry as a spiritual teacher and healer, including miracles and other revelations of the divine power present in Christ.
Some of these miracles, like turning water to wine, and teachings, like the Sermon on the Mount, were more public and witnessed by many.
Others, like Jesus’s Baptism, Transfiguration, and the Last Supper, were more personal experiences shared only with those closest to Jesus in his physical life.
Throughout our recovery journey, we will also experience miraculous transformation and healing in our lives—some visible by many others, some only by our closest loved ones.
Like the miracles of Jesus’ life and resurrection, the healing miracles of our recovery from addiction can and will have a ripple effect on our loved ones and community as they bear witness to our new life.
